Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Partial Hospitalization is designed for individuals who are experiencing mental health/co-occurring disorder problems and have enough support and stability to be at home in the evenings, but require immediate intervention to promote recovery and prevent inpatient stay. Patients who are treated in the Partial Hospitalization program often suffer from depression, anxiety, co-occurring, grief-related issues, codependency, self-esteem and anger management issues. A psychiatrist-led team of diverse, masters-level clinicians will assess each client and assist the client in creating a unique treatment plan. Services are comparable to inpatient treatment but allow individuals to return home in the evening.

Program Features:

  • Treatment from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Medication management
  • Group therapy and individual case management
  • Nursing service
  • Experiential learning and recreational therapy
  • Chemical dependency education
  • Education groups for daily living
  • Lunch
  • Comprehensive discharge planning

Clients attend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups on:

  • Processing grief
  • Improving coping skills
  • Reducing anxiety and depression
  • Spiritual care
  • Stress management and problem-solving
  • Communication
  • Relaxation skills
  • Emotional regulation

Participants are encouraged to practice skills learned in group as they continue everyday activities in their home and/or work environment. The Partial Hospitalization Program empowers clients as a supportive transitional treatment following inpatient hospitalization, but it is also accessible directly from the community.
